Kent Film Office - Guest Speaker

On Monday 13th December, WE SPOKE WITH Gabrielle LAY, THE MANAGER OF THE KENT FILM OFFICE. SHE SPOKE TO US ABOUT WHAT THE KENT FILM OFFICE DOES AND HOW THEY ARE WORKING TO ALLOW MORE YOUNG PEOPLE OPPORTUNITIES IN THE FILM INDUSTRY. She also spoke to us about the best ways to get into the film industry, with the most beneficial one being as a runner. She told us that through a runner role, you are able to gain a good experience of what happens on set. You are able to speak to those working on set and find out more, first hand, about what their job roles involve. She also spoke to us about her own past roles, which I found interesting as it was good to hear about her own path into the industry. I found this talk very helpful and will take her advice on board when looking for beginning roles in the film industry.
